Commercial LMV, the Italian distributor of the Hunter Engineering Company, presents the new SmartWeight Pro (SWP) balancer for passenger cars and light transport.
The company explains that the new Hunter SmartWeight Pro is intuitive and has features that place it among the best professional wheel balancers on the market. The introduction of this model adds to the
Hunter’s car wheel balancer programme already on the international market, joining its bigger sisters Gsp9200 Touch, Smart-weight Touch and Road Force Elite.

Hunter introduces, on this model, new technologies and a simple and intuitive machine function navigation system via a single manipulator; the monitor is not Touch.

A fundamental element and present on all Hunter branded wheel balancers is the SmartWeight programme, a software that guarantees the best result on new generation vehicles, in terms of wheel balancing. Today’s vehicles are in fact considerably more sensitive to wheel imbalance and this software eliminates this specific problem by removing any vibration.

SmartWeight, therefore, saves time and balancing products while improving accuracy, providing an
optimal end result.
With SmartWeight Pro, wheel measurement, in its 3 dimensions, is non-contact; the design is more compact and ergonomic, suitable for optimising shop space. A special design of the wheel cover also allows installation close to the wall, making the SWP a suitable tool even for workshops with limited space.
SmartWeight Pro’s internal laser allows the exact measurement of the rim without contact, correctly identifying the type of balancing and weight application point the operator intends to use, further improving balancing accuracy. The external laser, on the other hand, automatically measures the wheel width by lowering the protective casing. This solution is considered
compared to other measuring systems, more accurate and reliable.
Other unique features of the SmartWeight Pro software include detailed on-screen instructions on how to operate the balancer to simplify machine operation even for less experienced operators, demonstration videos and multimedia training, which guide the technician through the basic and advanced principles of balancing.
